1Our position#
We build accessibility remediation for clients. It would be poor form to publish a site that did not meet the standard we apply to their work.
This statement says what we have done, what we have tested, and where we fall short. We would rather name a gap than claim a conformance level we have not verified.
2Conformance#
This site aims to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.
Conformance has not yet been formally evaluated. The sections below say what we have done, how we have checked it, and where we know we fall short.
3What we have done#
- Pages are built from semantic HTML, with landmarks for the header, navigation, main content and footer.
- A skip-to-content link is the first thing on every page.
- Menus, tabs, accordions and forms are built from real buttons, links and form controls, so they work from the keyboard, and every focusable element shows a visible focus ring.
- Every form field has a label wired to it, and errors are written out in words next to the field.
- Drawings and decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology; images that carry meaning have alternative text.
- All motion respects your system's reduce-motion setting.
- Pages reflow to a 320px-wide screen without scrolling sideways.
4How we tested#
- Every page loaded at a 320px-wide screen, to check that nothing scrolls sideways.
- Every link and anchor on the site followed automatically, to check that none is broken.
- Every page checked with reduced motion turned on.
We have not yet done a full keyboard-only pass or tested with a screen reader, and no third party has tested the site.
5Known issues#
- No keyboard-only or screen reader testing yet. We intend to test the site from the keyboard alone and with VoiceOver and NVDA, and to list what we find here.
- Drawings with words in them. Some drawings contain short labels that are hidden from assistive technology along with the drawing. The same point is always made in the text around it, but we intend to review each one.
6The animated background#
Some pages use animated drawings. They are decorative, hidden from assistive technology, and do not carry information. If your system is set to reduce motion, the drawings are shown still, and no animation runs.
7Tell us#
If something on this site is not usable for you, write to info@modulariti.ai and tell us what happened and what you were using. We will respond within two business days and tell you what we intend to do.
This is not a formality. Reports of this kind are the fastest way we find out what automated testing missed.
8Third-party content#
This site embeds no third-party content: no video players, maps or form services. Links to other sites, such as the standards bodies we reference, lead to pages we do not control.
